
Dance
South Shore Conservatory Dance Department offers a full range of dance and movement classes for children ages 3 and up. Providing a positive and nurturing atmosphere, our faculty creates an individualized experience for each student. Whether they are exploring dance as recreation or wishing to pursue their training to the pre-professional level, a curriculum is delivered, consisting of a comprehensive set of age-appropriate levels in Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, and more.

SSC Dance Artistic Manager Catherine Piazza trained professionally at Northern Ballet School, Manchester, England, graduating with advanced levels in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Character, Modern, Contemporary and Musical Theatre, and an Associate in Imperial Classical Ballet.
Catherine is a Member Plus of the Royal Academy of Dance, a certified PBT teacher, Certified Yoga 200hr, LaBlast® Instructor (Cardio Ballroom Dance, partner free) and continues her professional development with courses such as Safe in Dance International, RAD CPD, and Safe Sport.
Dance Department Classes
Classes range from pre-ballet to Advanced, inclusive of ages 3-18.

Hip-hop
Hip-hop at SSC encourages kids (ages 6-10) and adults to build coordination and confidence.

Lyrical
Lyrical classes blend ballet, jazz, and contemporary techniques, focusing on expressive, creative movement.

Contemporary, Choreography, & Improv
A creative space for dancers to explore contemporary technique, develop original choreography, and express themselves through guided improvisation.
