John McCarthy

John McCarthy is a guitarist, bassist, and educator who brings patience, compassion, and thoroughness to every lesson. He began teaching in the late ’70s while studying at Berklee College of Music, where he earned a BM in Composition. John has toured nationally performing rock and Top 40 music, and has also played in a wide variety of ensembles and productions. He has taught at SSC since 2001.
