Chris Rathbun

Strings | Jazz, Rock, Pop

Chris Rathbun is a Suzuki-certified double bass and cello teacher with decades of performance experience spanning jazz, orchestra, chamber, blues, Broadway, and world music. He has performed with legendary artists including Ray Charles, “Papa” Jo Jones, and Rosemary Clooney, and played at major jazz festivals worldwide. Chris offers lessons in bass, cello, theory, and ensemble direction, and has been on SSC’s faculty since 2004.
